Mr. Cyrus k Musau
Dean of Trainees

I am a dedicated and multidisciplinary professional with a strong background in agribusiness, agricultural engineering, and technical education. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management and Trade from Kenyatta University, a Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), and Diploma in Technical Education from the Kenya Technical Trainers College (KTTC).

My career spans education, research, industry, and student affairs. I currently serve as the Dean of Trainees, where I am deeply passionate about handling student matters, including mentorship, discipline, guidance, and overall welfare. I am committed to nurturing a supportive, inclusive, and empowering learning environment that fosters both academic excellence and personal growth.

Previously, I served as the Head Of Guidance and Counselling and Agriculture and Applied Sciences Departments, where I provided leadership in academic programs, curriculum development, and student support. I also serve as the institution’s Focal Person for Research, Science, and Innovation, coordinating research initiatives, fostering innovation, and supporting faculty and student engagement in scientific inquiry. Additionally, I actively contribute to several institutional committees focused on academic and trainees’ affairs.

My earlier experience includes working as the Regional Research Project Coordinator under the SRISTI-USAID-JKUAT partnership, where I managed grassroots innovation projects and coordinated research activities. I also gained valuable industry exposure during my internship at Gailey and Roberts Co. Ltd., which strengthened my understanding of agribusiness operations and private sector engagement.

I bring a unique combination of technical expertise, educational leadership, and student-centered service, and I remain committed to advancing sustainable agriculture, innovation, and holistic trainee development.
