The grading systems for KNEC and TVET CDACC are as follows:

KNEC Grading System:
  • Distinction: Excellent (75% and above)
  • Credit: Very Good (60% - 74%)
  • Pass: Satisfactory (50% - 59%)
  • Fail: Below 50%

  • A: 80% - 100%
  • A-: 75% - 79.99%
  • B+: 70% - 74.99%
  • B: 65% - 69.99%
  • B-: 60% - 64.99%
  • C+: 55% - 59.99%
  • C: 50% - 54.99%
  • C-: 45% - 49.99%
  • D+: 40% - 44.99%
  • D: 35% - 39.99%
  • D-: 30% - 34.99%
  • E: Below 30%
TVET CDACC Grading System:
  • Competent(C): Achieved 50% and above in both theory and practical assessments
  • Not Yet Competent(NYC): Below 50% in either theory or practical assessments
Punishable Offenses +

Engaging in any of the following is considered a punishable offense:

  • Cheating during examinations.
  • Plagiarism in assignments or projects.
  • Disruptive behavior in class or examination halls.
  • Failure to adhere to institutional policies and procedures.
