Mr. Edwin Otieno Radindi is the Head of Department for Building and Civil Engineering at Mwala Technical and Vocational College.
A passionate and forward-thinking educator, he is committed to advancing practical, industry-aligned technical education that empowers young people with employable skills and real-world problem-solving abilities.

He is currently awaiting graduation with a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Mombasa, and is pursuing a Diploma in Technical Education at the Kenya School of TVET.
He also holds a Diploma in Building Technology (2018), and completed a Head of Department and Management Course at KSTVET in 2022.

As HOD, Mr. Radindi has led several initiatives to transform his department, including:
- Increasing trainee enrolment with a target of over 2,000 learners,
- Enhancing hands-on and workshop-based training for greater industry relevance,
- Mentoring trainers and leading performance-based staff development,
- Establishing linkages with industry stakeholders for job attachment and skills matching,
- Supporting the adoption of Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) and curriculum reforms.

Mr. Radindi believes that technical training should be responsive, innovative, and anchored in community development.
His leadership philosophy is built on teamwork, accountability, and outcome-based learning.

His vision is to grow the department into a regional center of excellence for civil engineering and construction training,
producing graduates who are not only employable but also capable of contributing meaningfully to national development goals.

He is a registered member of the National Construction Authority (NCA) and the Institute of Engineering Technologists and Technicians (IET).
He also actively participates in the Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) and national TVET forums focusing on curriculum improvement, capacity building, and youth empowerment.
